Spring has sprung and the panniers are out. It must be time for Team Bernard’s next end-to-end cycle adventure. This time, Claire, Bernard the bike, Guillaume the Garmin (his predecessor’s younger and slightly less grumpy cousin), Hugo Headphones and Gloria Google will be joined by Jonis and his trusty bike Colin. Together, over the next six weeks, we plan to traverse Spain from north to south and Portugal from south to north, a total of around 2,000km. Here’s our route through Spain, from Bilbao to Tarifa:

We catch the ferry from Portsmouth on Sunday night, and will start pedalling on Tuesday. All being well, we should be back in Bilbao at the end of May.
